In the heart of Talamanca, the Kábata Könana Indigenous Women’s Association has been working on an exciting expansion of their activities. In partnership with Pangea Sostenible and the NGO Love for Life, they developed a strategy to launch a brand-new Cabécar indigenous tour. While the operational strategy was solid, this specific new service needed a visual identity to communicate its unique cultural value to the world.
This is where Kido stepped in. We were honored to be commissioned with a sensitive and vital task: to translate the vision of this new tourism offer into a professional brand identity, under the direct supervision and guidance of our client, Pangea Sostenible, and the Kábata Könana Association.
Visualizing a New Service
Our goal was to use our creativity to build a distinct identity specifically for this new commercial product. To make this Cabécar tour market-ready, we developed:
- Strategic Naming: We crafted the official name for the new tour, ensuring it was inviting for travelers while respecting its deep cultural roots.
- A Unique Logotype: We designed a specific logo for this experience to distinguish it as a new service within the Association’s portfolio.
- The Brand Identity Book: A guide created to ensure that the new tour’s image remains consistent and professional across all touchpoints.
- Dual-Format Catalogs: We designed two “book-style” catalogs—optimized for both print and digital use—to serve as the primary sales tools for showcasing the cultural itinerary and activities.
Collaboration and Validation
A key component of this project’s success was the collaborative workflow. Every creative decision and deliverable was executed with the due approval and strategic oversight of both Pangea Sostenible and the indigenous entrepreneurs. We worked as a technical partner, ensuring our designs aligned perfectly with the broader sustainable strategy they defined for the region.
A Shared Success
The result was a comprehensive sales kit that empowers the women of Kábata Könana to present their new ancestral tour with confidence. We are grateful to Pangea Sostenible and the Association for trusting us to visualize this important project, which was successfully presented to local operators in Puerto Viejo and Cahuita.
