At Kido, we believe that sustainability is not built in isolation; it is woven together in community.
Last Saturday, November 22nd, the heart of San José beat to a different rhythm. Inside the historic La Alhambra Building, we had the honor of co-organizing and sponsoring the First Edition of Networking for Conservation + Concert, a unique gathering where strategy, art, and ancestral wisdom went hand in hand.
Together with our great allies: Voces que Expanden el Cambio, Pangea Sostenible, and El Viaje Craft Beer, we succeeded in creating a plastic-free space filled with purpose.
More Than an Event, A Sensory Experience
The afternoon began with an atmosphere of introspection and openness. It wasn’t just a welcome; it was a connection. We started with a powerful cacao intention led by a Bribri woman and guardian of ancestral knowledge, setting the tone for a gathering that would be anything but a traditional corporate networking event.
The agenda took us on a carefully curated journey:
Gastronomy and Culture: Sustainability is also experienced through taste. Attendees were nourished by an authentic tasting of BRIBRI gastronomy, lovingly prepared by Tirza Morales Sánchez. Her ancestral food and traditional chicha, paired with the excellent craft beer from El Viaje, grounded us in the flavors of our land.
Ancestral Connection: Following the opening, we continued with the guidance of maestra Guadalupe Urbina, who helped us tune into our surroundings through her session, “Connection with the Waters.”
Networking with Purpose: We facilitated a guided networking session lasting nearly two hours. It was inspiring to see professionals, activists, and entrepreneurs exchanging not just business cards, but visions for a more regenerative future.

Voices That Heal and Empower
The finishing touch was, without a doubt, the music. The stage vibrated with the power of two extraordinary women. Maf É Tulà transported us between “the Jungle and the Sea” with her unmistakable style, setting the stage for the masterful closing performance by Guadalupe Urbina.
Seeing the La Alhambra Building full of energy, music, and meaningful conversations reaffirms that San José is alive and that there is a community thirsty for spaces that nourish both the mind and the spirit.
